How to Mount a TV in Your RV Travel Trailer
One of the reasons we love the Jayco 32 BHDS is that it has a swivel TV in the family room and master bedroom. A great design for many reasons, none more than we have the ability to watch TV at night when the kids are in the bunk house without disturbing them. The question is how do you mount a TV in an RV bring that there are no studs? The answer has two parts. To mount our TV in our RV travel trailer, we found a mount that was small and light and the same with the TV.
The TV we have is a 40″ HiSense with Roku built-in. The main reason for this TV was that it only weighs 12lbs! That is incredibly light for a TV. We use that with the ONN Mount from Walmart. This mount sits flush to the wall and only sticks out around 3/4″, so you are not taking up a lot of space. To screw in the mount, I used 1/4″ wood screws and lightly drilled them in making sure not to tighten them where it hollows out the hole. The other nice feature of the mount is it has quick release straps, where a lot of mounts have the screw.
Installation only took about 10 minutes and we were on our way! Check out the video above for all the information!
