Welcome to our journey as first-time campers! I’m Steph, aka mama bear, and this is my crew. Along with my husband Ross, we are a family of five with 2 daughters, Ava, 7 and Grace, 4, and our newest addition Ross Jr., 6 months. We are your average American family flying a million miles per hour doing all that we can to provide our kids with a fun-filled childhood.
Our journey into the RV lifestyle started in January of 2019, or at least we thought it did. At the time, Ava and Grace were well on their way to not being hip huggers and we were looking to spend our summer enjoying the outdoors and local camping sites around northeast Ohio, but life had different plans. In March, literally 5 days before my husband’s scheduled vasectomy, I felt different. Not the kind of different like life was all in order and I was excited for the journey ahead of us, different like my body was trying to tell me something. If you are following along, and you have an intuition about these kinds of things, your suspicions are correct – I was pregnant.
As you can imagine this was a surprise to all of us – especially my husband. We welcomed our little boy Ross Jr. in November and although the journey was paused, it was not over. The addition of a baby boy only fueled my husband’s desire to get the family into an RV and out into the wilderness. So here we are, a year after our journey began picking up right where we left off, which actually was at the beginning.
We started this website because we wanted to share our experience being first-time campers with all of you. We will share with you our RV gear, blogs, and videos of our travels.
From here, we don’t know what the road has in store for us, but we know we will have an RV full of kids, a full tank of gas, and a lifetime of memories ahead. We will bring the S’mores and the fun if you’ll join us on our RV adventures?
